Interior Designer, Education Project Experience

Perkins Eastman has an opportunity for an interior designer with a minimum of 2-5 years experience. The designer we would like to hire will have experience in educational projects and sustainable design – with strengths in the selection of materials and specification and documentation of FFE – furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Experience with specifications for international projects a plus.

Qualifications
Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design; must have 2-5 years experience. Relevant project experience as described above.

Responsibilities
Develops design concepts; prepares documents during design development phase. Corrects and updates design documents for materials, finishes, and FFE requirements. As part of the project team, develops solutions to design problems and maintains specifications to support procurement of FF&E.

Education
They will also work to update and maintain the office master specifications and to research products and systems for project managers. Specifier will also help set standards for documentation throughout multiple projects, establishing consistency between drawings and FF&E specification manuals.
