The Process

The Strategies team employed a multi-faceted approach to work collaboratively with the departments’ medical doctors and their associated marketing teams. Our change management process used a combination of surveys and meetings alongside the efforts made by the client’s facilities team. For the Diabetes Group, we issued a quantitative and qualitative online survey, made field observations to confirm work styles and actual use of the various spaces, and conducted one-on-one interviews with key leaders of the group. From this data, we were able to drill down to an individual basis to determine a work-type profile for each staff member. This allowed the group leader to see the potential for mobility within the group, allowing an informed conversation about the design required to support the group’s work practices.
