The Process

Community leaders, co-workers, and designers engaged in discussions, brainstorming and programming meetings to pinpoint key elements of care and philosophical beliefs. This leadership was especially challenged to think through a program that appealed to a target market outside the belief system and network – moving from modest or dormitory-like housing to accessible designs that appealed to independent seniors. Designers refined the space and functional program, melding their experience in independent and assisted living housing with the tenets of Anthroposophy and the client’s philosophy of community.
