Lessons Learned

With the project beginning in late autumn, the site in upstate NY experienced a very hard winter and the cost of winter conditions in order to keep the end date required by the grant was high. Putting the desired wood flooring over the radient concrete floors proved to be challenging, and a special product of engineered wood had to be sought out. The contractors found ways to work more effeciently and did make the move-in date the client had set and each of the nine buildings was occupied a little over two years from the time design had started.
