Laclede Groves

St. Louis, Missouri
Lutheran Senior Services recently transformed its Laclede Groves campus in St. Louis. Perkins Eastman’s initial strategic planning efforts for the client led to master planning, space program prioritization, architecture and interior design for a variety of renovations and new buildings. The phased projects include upgrades to quality and capacity of the skilled care and independent living residences; enhanced amenity space and wellness programs; greater choice in dining venues; creation of a campus ‘heart’ via a Town Center and improved campus circulation.

Additions to the skilled nursing building include three-story residences that offer private beds and decentralized community and support space. Renovations to the ground and first floors offer enhanced fitness and wellness areas, a therapy pool, media room, arts and crafts room, spa/beauty salon, meeting rooms, offices, and recreation space.

A new 80-unit, four-story independent living apartment building is now visible from the main entry and connected to the new Town Center.
