As part of a program of ongoing services to the Village Center for Care, Perkins Eastman Architects provided planning and design services and assistance with a Certificate of Need Application for the renovation of two floors of an existing building in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood.. The space was renovated to house a 50-participant geriatric Adult Day Health Care facility, a day treatment program for 50 people with AIDS, and a small diagnostic and treatment clinic. The firm has also done renovations of the Village Nursing Home and concept plans for a new skilled nursing and assisted living campus. In addition, the firm designed an office expansion for their main office in the landmark Archives Building in the West Village. The office contains the Center's Board Room, the Executive Director's office, the development office and several home health care teams.
