“Sport- and entertainment-venue design is most successful when a project taps into the local culture, setting the stage for the authentic experience, operating as a place to build legacy and a home for history. This is when architecture is a powerful changemaker.”

Andrea recognizes the unnamable but unmistakable intersection between brand, building, and art, and her work blurs the divisions to create specialized fan activations. She is a design principal and key leader of MEIS’ New York office. In her role as Director of Activation, Andrea leads the design of fan experience and sponsorship activation areas of the venues. In addition to a lead role on the Staples Center 2.0 project, she recently developed a study for “the arena of the future,” documenting current trends in arena- and event-center design.

Prior to joining the practice, Andrea worked at prominent design firms including HDR|CEI Architects and Nike|Rufproject. She’s worked on a variety of sports and entertainment projects throughout her career, including work focusing specifically on the experiential aspect of space, retail design, and conceptual branding. Andrea has produced work for several high-profile Nike projects in particular, including the Super Bowl, Women’s World Cup, Air Max Day NYC, and Milan Design Week.

Our Perkins Eastman

During her time at MEIS—A Perkins Eastman Studio, Andrea has led concept design across a diverse range of projects. She is responsible not simply for establishing the look and feel of our projects, but for transforming the internal creative process of MEIS—A Perkins Eastman Studio.
