Christy Schlesinger

Christy Schlesinger

Associate Principal

“The challenge is to exceed my clients’ expectations by designing spaces that are not only functional, but also tell a story. The thoughtful curation of art, craft, and culture becomes architecture that transcends the physical to become experiential - this is human by design.”

Christy approaches design holistically, integrating art and architecture from inception to creation to realize meaningful and distinct outcomes unique to each client. She is an intuitive leader, guiding teams in establishing design direction, image, character, and environmental quality to deliver spaces that inspires clients to do their best work and enhance their mission. A native Washingtonian, Christy has deep roots in the city. Her inclusive design leadership is shaped by her experience at The Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, where she was an integral leader of the Masters of Interior Design thesis program for over 12 years. Christy’s portfolio spans multiple scales and typologies, and includes hospitality, residential, commercial, educational, and large-scale projects, both locally and abroad.

Our Perkins Eastman

Christy’s extensive teaching background and diverse relationships within the arts community have been fruitful in establishing a series of cultural salons within Perkins Eastman, which aim to facilitate conversations between external artists, clients, and architects.
