Martin’s interest in architecture evolved naturally over a period of time through a combination of wanting to learn how buildings were designed and constructed and being encouraged during his formative years by his mentor, architect Tom Mellor, whose work earned him the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
Martin’s thirty-five-year career has focused on the commercial, leisure, and sports architecture sectors, where he brings invaluable experience and knowledge to MEIS—A Perkins Eastman Studio. His track record includes work as a technical advisor on numerous high-profile football and sports projects such as the 2012 London Olympics. Beyond architecture, he has also managed the business side of architectural practices, including finance, health and safety, human resources, information technology, and office administration.
