Principal

"I love urban life and helping shape how cities evolve. Achieving that goal means taking on challenging projects, pushing boundaries on design and development standards, and advocating for great outcomes for both our clients and our communities."

Matt is an innovative, collaborative, and visionary designer with more than thirty-five years of architectural-design experience. His portfolio includes mixed-use transit-oriented development, commercial office/retail, and all forms of multi-family projects, including affordable, special needs, market-rate ownership and rental, and senior living. His work ranges from low- rise through high-rise construction types. Matt is also the lead entitlement efforts as a development planner on various private-sector master plans, station-area plans, transit and neighborhood plans, and providing rezoning advocacy.

Matt has also been extensively involved in volunteer civic activities that complement his professional passion for creating livable, walkable and spirited urban places. He’s a former City of Seattle Planning Commissioner, has served as the Chair of the South Lake Union Design Review Board, and was a member of the board of Capitol Hill (Affordable) Housing.
