AIA, LEED AP

Associate Principal

“One of the greatest opportunities in design lies in navigating the constraints and complexities of a project to create a meaningful space for a community.”

The same innate curiosity about materiality that drew Mike to Lego as a child and sculpture as an art student pulled him into the field of architecture.  Driven to breathe new life into spaces by crafting a balance between celebrating history and meeting current needs, Mike has distinguished himself as an expert manager of the design and construction of complex, multi-million-dollar renovation and adaptive reuse projects. Mike values client collaboration to translate dreams and ideas into viable, inspiring projects. Much of his work focuses on the transformation of historic buildings for higher education clients.

As a leader in the Kliment Halsband studio, Mike strives to create an atmosphere where all team members’ contributions are heard and valued as he balances the management of multiple studio projects.
