Changsha Xiangya Health Sanfu Valley will offer Chinese residents a life plan community (LPC) and wellness institute in the capital of China’s Hunan Province. The new community, nestled in a mountain tea farm, will include 250-plus apartments and amenity spaces.

The lake-centered community is programmed with 146 independent living apartments, 108 neighborhood-based skilled nursing rooms, wellness and rehabilitation services, various dining options, integrated entertainment venues throughout the campus, and administrative support spaces. The Institute, a separate building located at the site entrance, has program spaces focused on wellness, medical clinic, research and development, and training.

The first two floors of the clubhouse and first floor of skilled nursing house the main communal services available to residents, including rehabilitation services, dining venues, card room, library overlooking the lake, theater, and more. The upper floors of skilled nursing provide neighborhood-based facilities for residents, such as dining, entertainment, and living spaces.

All residential buildings are six-stories with views of the lake and the rolling landscape at each level. The U-shaped site layout around the lake allows a unique opportunity to physically connect each building together like a string of pearls. Surrounding the lake are various landscape features including a sculpture garden, croquet lawn, koi ponds, a tea pavilion, as well as healing and meditation gardens.
