Perkins Eastman Sweeps National Association of Home Builders 55+ Housing Awards 10

Perkins Eastman is pleased to announce the recognition of three senior living projects in the National Association of Home Builders Best of 55+ Housing Awards. The NAHB 55+ Housing Industry Council Best of 55+ Housing Awards are the 55+ sector’s only national awards program that honor the people, companies, projects, and programs that have contributed to industry-leading design and community lifestyle features that appeal to all life stages.

Perkins Eastman’s celebrated Maravilla at the Domain, in Austin, TX, was awarded Gold in the “Full Continuum Living Community” category. This is the fourth award, including the prestigious AIA Design for Aging, that the project has received. Maravilla at the Domain is a LEED Silver-certified community for aging adults in Austin, TX, that weaves together wellness programming, attentive service, and imaginative cuisine.

The Enclave, an innovative new dementia care environment for an east coast not-for-profit senior living provider, was awarded Gold in the “Service Enriched Community (On the Boards)” category.  In contrast to the typical approach to dementia care, this integrated campus encourages independence by inspiring residents to safely engage with amenities outside of their homes and simultaneously inviting the outside community in to foster engagement and add vibrancy.

VIA—A Perkins Eastman Studio, was awarded a Gold in the “Independent Living Community” category for Revel Issaquah Senior Housing, in Issaquah, WA. Revel is a vibrant independent living community that consists of two wings that are positioned in keeping with the sloping contours of the site. The wings are connected by a community center including the lobby, dining, exercise facilities, and support spaces, fostering connection and community.
