Prashant is an architect and urban designer originally from Mumbai and based in Washington, DC, since 2003. He has been a member of the profession since 1998 and has worked on projects in the DC metro area, nationally in major US cities, and internationally in India, China, and the Middle East. His experience across diverse practice areas and locations defines his personality, his interests, and his role as a design leader. He leads projects from early inception and through the various stages of design to completion. In 2011, he moved to Mumbai to help grow the nascent Perkins Eastman studio there. Since his return to DC in 2015, he has played an active role in both offices and is well entrenched in the business communities in both cities.
Prashant’s long-term relationships with clients and colleagues demonstrate the importance he places on them as partners in pursuing an exemplary design agenda. His deeply engrained values for development, progress, and excellence over the course of his career have led him to work closely with government, institutional, and private clients to create public realms that become catalysts for economic development; university campuses that explore new pedagogies; and urban design ideas for large sites in dynamic, growing cities. Prashant believes that combining design talent and an entrepreneurial outlook creates innovative solutions that go beyond a client’s brief.
