Children’s National Prince George’s County’s regional outpatient center offers urgent care, an ambulatory surgery center with two operating rooms, prep/PACU, imaging, multi-specialty clinics, an infusion suite, phlebotomy/laboratory, and a USP 800 pharmacy. The facility treats an underserved area outside its main hospital in Washington, DC, relieving Children’s National Medical Center of its less critical patients.

The outpatient center was carefully planned to optimize patient, staff, and materials workflows. The programming and design thereby improves the patient experience, maximizes the use of space, increases staff efficiency, and best leverages equipment and technology to improve patient and financial outcomes.
