Fordham Landing South, located in the University Heights neighborhood of the Bronx, New York, is the first phase of the Fordham Landing master plan, encompassing the waterfront along the planned expansion of the Harlem River Greenway. Encompassing 549,000 gross square feet, the project comprises 504 affordable housing units, a supermarket, a waterfront café, residential amenities, social services offices, and parking.

Three distinct 18-story residential towers maximize upland views through minimized floor plates and carefully considered massing. The project also preserves visual access to the historic University Heights Bridge and provides a public access route to the waterfront.

The new waterfront esplanade extends along the Harlem River, connecting the shoreline to the surrounding neighborhood through multiple public access points. These include the Sunset Ramp, a landscaped pedestrian path, as well as vehicular access via Station Square and its public stairway and elevator.

To improve access for both vehicles and pedestrians, a new internal roadway system connects West Fordham Road at the University Heights Bridge level with Exterior Street at the lower level through the bridge’s historic stone arch. The project also enhances access to the University Heights Metro-North station on the Hudson Line, providing a direct connection to the development through Station Square.
