“This is such a pivotal moment for universities, cities, and the future of work. Anchor institutions are now deeply embedded in the economic and social fabric of the communities that surround them. Going forward, universities can leverage their civic presence to advance lifelong learning, innovation, and meaningful human connection.”

Adam brings a systems approach to higher education and city-building, shaped by a career that spans architecture, urban design, and real estate strategy. He works at the intersection of campuses and urban centers, helping institutions build physical environments that support learning, research, and economic growth in the Age of AI and advanced manufacturing. His experience includes innovation districts, campus expansions, and mixed-use developments that help universities engage with their alumni, industry partners, and surrounding communities. Known for bridging strategy and implementation, Adam’s projects often begin with institutional positioning and evolve into high-performance built environments. He always places people firmly at the center of the design and planning process.

As both a practitioner and a teacher, Adam believes that learning and the built environment are inseparable, and that the places we design shape how people learn, create, and thrive. He collaborates closely with colleagues across Perkins Eastman to align the firm’s commitment to design and sustainability. Adam is convinced that how we design and build our campuses, neighborhoods, and cities today can ensure the health and well-being of our communities for years to come.
