Brandon’s interest in designing for older adults stems from a personal experience: Three of his grandparents, two with Alzheimer’s disease, have resided in senior communities throughout much of his life. The imprint of these experiences ignited his passion to improve the quality of life and care for older adults and their visiting families. With a purposeful career trajectory, he collaborates with fellow team members and clients to create communities that offer residents a sense of comfort, familiarity, connection, flexibility, and belonging. He has been at Perkins Eastman since he earned his master’s degree in architecture in 2006.
With his planning and design experience for residential and care environments for older adults, Brandon has contributed to a wide variety of assignments for clients across the country. These range from coordinating small repositioning projects to leading complicated multi-building campus re-envisioning projects and participating in the firm’s proprietary strategic planning process, known as IDEAS.
