Principal

“For me, Human by Design is a purpose-led and single-core philosophy: to truly make this world a better place through the intentional art and craft of our architecture. In the design of healthcare facilities, this approach has a primary focus of healing the mind, body, and spirit for all. Our guiding principles must be anchored by high performance teams centered on creating architecture that is beautiful, highly innovative, functional, and experiential.”

From his earliest memories, Bruce was deeply inspired by the art and craft of architecture. His grandfather, a construction superintendent, introduced him to the world of design through thoughtful teachings and immersive experiences. As Managing Principal of our Charlotte studio, Bruce brings over 30 years of experience in all phases of the architectural and building process to project teams throughout the surrounding region. Specializing in master planning of complex medical and healthcare projects, Bruce believes in an interactive design process that driven by the guiding principles of a project. By concentrating on the client objectives and what people need, he leads design teams through the development of concept and project completion, using natural elements to enhance human-scaled environments. Bruce is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and loves spending time with family, playing guitar, and dreaming about being in a Cessna 172 for an early morning flight.
