“Truly integrative design is born of deep respect for the many minds and hands it takes to have exceptional success in advancing institutional missions through planning, design, and construction. In focusing on this aspect of design, the whole becomes much more than the sum of its parts.”

With three decades of experience serving academic, civic, and institutional clients, Dan is an award-winning architect and well-regarded leader who is known for his sustainable design solutions. A champion of LEED Platinum and Net Zero Energy, he is committed to creating transformative spaces that are, all at once, beautiful, affordable, wellness-enhancing, and exceptionally high-performing. For Dan, the most impactful projects are the ones that realize his clients’ aspirations and enhance daily life with comfort and invigoration. Alongside his project work, Dan has taught sustainable building design at the graduate level and frequently presents on the integration of design and performance at conferences around the country.
