In her role as Sustainability Specialist, Heather is inspired by the intersections between wellness and sustainability, and believes that in order to truly move toward a more resilient society, we need to look at wellness of people and wellness of planet holistically. Her expertise in passive design, building science, indoor environmental quality, and pre/post-occupancy evaluations are valuable contributions to both the projects in which she is involved, and the firm as a whole. As a firm-wide resource, Heather leads discussions and research initiatives to educate and promote sustainable design practice. Heather also supports projects directly as an internal consultant on key projects with high sustainability ambitions, helping to guide the design process from goal setting and strategy identification to measuring results and communicating successes.
