Art, photography, and buildings have always played a prominent role in Maria’s life before she decided to study architecture. While taking photography in college, her subject of choice was the built environment. She was born in Cuba but moved to New York with her family early in life. The energy of the city has kept Maria here where she began working in corporate interiors before moving into single and multi-family residential and healthcare design. Since joining Perkins Eastman in 2005, she’s worked across several practice areas, including senior living, workplace, and healthcare, where she is currently.
