Yu-Hwa believes that architecture is a form of communication, setting the stage for human interaction across the generations and forming the backdrop of societies and history. “The end result is bigger than everyone involved, and has significant impact on its surrounding environment,” he says.
Throughout the entire design process, Yu-Hwa continuously seeks the “essence” of a project by researching programs and topics, investigating the site, and spending time with clients to fully absorb their vision and needs. In turn, he wants to realize that essence with “a meaningful and unique response that fulfills the client’s need.” Yu-Hwa began his career in 2005 and has since gained national and international experience on projects that range in size from large-scale mixed-use development to museums, boutique hotels, and retail interiors.
