Bath Haus Greenpoint

Brooklyn, NY

A historic bathhouse transformed into luxury living

Bath Haus Greenpoint is a renovated luxury boutique condominium located in a former bathhouse that was built in 1903 in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood. This nine-unit building blends historic charm with modern amenities. Its prime location, with easy access to multiple commuting options—subway, ferry, bicycle lanes, and automobile—has attracted new residents and significant investment as the area transitions from industrial to residential development.

Originally serving as a bathhouse for immigrants, the building was decommissioned around 1940 and repurposed for light manufacturing and warehouse uses. The last tenants, including a wooden frame manufacturer and three artists, were so taken by the building’s facade that they had it tattooed on their shoulders. Inspired by the building’s rich heritage and the artists’ connection to it, Perkins Eastman’s design team worked to capture this spirit, incorporating it into the marketing and identity of the project.
