Inspired by Blue Apron’s passion to build a more sustainable food system, Perkins Eastman developed a values-based workplace strategy with the goal of creating a space that brings office and production staff together. The collaborative design process began with understanding the diverse needs of staff from operations, fulfillment, and security, as well as visitors. The solution accommodates offices, training rooms, and common space within an existing fulfillment center with a design reflective of the company’s brand. Durable, maintenance-friendly materials in institutional areas are balanced by warm wood tones, diffused lighting, and plants in common areas. Accents in the company’s signature blue and environmental graphics celebrate Blue Apron and its connection to customers, food suppliers, and the environment.
