This transformative renovation reimagines both the guest suites and wellness spaces of the Five-Star Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C., elevating the property into a model of refined luxury and comfort. Fifty-three specialty suites were fully reconfigured from their original 1979 layouts, blending tradition with modern elegance through warm, walnut-paneled entries, fluted-glass and brass details, bespoke coffee and tea bars, and five-fixture marble bathrooms with integrated dressing areas. A tactile palette of cream, green, ruby, blush, and tobacco tones, along with warm hardwood flooring, imbues each suite with a sophisticated, residential ambiance.
Simultaneously, the three-level facility housing the spa, fitness, and pool was redesigned as a serene urban sanctuary. Graceful arches, natural materials, muted metals, and jewel-toned accents create a calming, luxurious environment. Enhancements include private treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, a new retail boutique, yoga spaces, and modernized locker rooms with marble-clad showers, saunas, and steam rooms. Careful coordination addressed challenges posed by the existing 1979 infrastructure, optimizing circulation, privacy, and guest flow.
The combined transformation delivers a cohesive, immersive experience—where every element, from spatial layout to material selection, reflects the Four Seasons’ timeless elegance and the city’s cultural richness—offering guests a heightened sense of comfort, indulgence, and personalized luxury.
