Positioned between the refined sophistication of NoMa and the industrial character of the H Street corridor, Union Place draws inspiration from both. These influences come together to form a vibrant identity that feels both contemporary and rooted in the fabric of Washington, DC.
The building’s light and modern architecture reflects NoMa’s polished spirit, while its interiors, crafted with raw and honest materials, pay homage to the area’s rich history. Designed to draw the community inward, Union Place blurs the line between urban energy and residential comfort through creative interior streetscaping, offering spaces that feel dynamic and welcoming.
The site, once an open lot that hosted outdoor movies and neighborhood gatherings, has been thoughtfully reimagined. Today, Union Place features a grand, double-height lobby and a two-story living room with a projection wall, ideal for movie nights with neighbors and friends. The fitness center offers a two-story rock-climbing wall for adventurous residents, while additional amenities provide space to work, host gatherings, or connect casually. Together, these elements create a dynamic environment reminiscent of a modern town square.
The interior design reflects Toll Brothers’ dedication to crafting spaces that feel deeply personal and extend the comforts of home. Signature features, such as a fifteen-foot fireplace framed by a dramatic staircase, cozy private work niches, inviting banquettes, and a vibrant game room with a vintage Pac Man arcade and popcorn machine, balance grandeur with everyday moments. A fully equipped catering kitchen further supports gathering and entertaining, reinforcing Union Place’s spirit of community.
At Union Place, living is not just about a residence; it is about an experience thoughtfully crafted for connection, inspiration, and belonging.
